Sacred Heart Academy started as a Sunday Catechism school in La Loma founded by the late Mrs. Luisa F. Kierulf in 1947. Being a fervent devotee of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Mrs. Kierulf named the school Sacred Heart Academy of La Loma (SHALL).
